Llanilar Community Council

Welcome to the website of Llanilar Community Council.

The community, which has a population of 1,085 according to the 2011 census, encompasses part of the Ystwyth valley. It includes the village of Llanilar, the main population centre, together with some smaller settlements such as Abermâd, Cornel Ofan, Dyffryn, Pantglas, and Rhos-y- Garth; apart from agriculture, most of the parishioners are employed in the nearby town of Aberystwyth, the largest local service centre.

A Chair and Vice-Chair are elected at the Annual Meeting, usually held in May.
