Community Council
The Council’s main responsibilities include:
● Responding to planning applications drawn to their attention by Ceredigion County Council
● Street lighting
● Responding to Reports and other papers, mostly from Ceredigion County Council and the Welsh Government.
● Deciding on the annual precept – the local tax paid by every household.
● Dealing with accounts and financial matters, including the Council’s own accounts as well as requests for financial support from local and national charities and clubs (preference is given to local causes).
● Responding to issues raised by Councillors and members of the public, often relating to the condition of local roads, drainage etc.
● Dealing with correspondence, including issues raised by local residents.
